Job Responsibilities

OVERVIEW We are currently seeking a Business Development Director / Country Head (based in China). You will be responsible for the country profitability/operations and to develop new businesses for all 3 of our services: • Disruption Management • Executive Search • Transition Management KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Increase and improve quality of new clients and customers - at stakeholder or decision-making levels, typically a Country/Regional Head or Business Unit Head. • Ability to convert a contact and network information against any of our 3 services. • Proactively drive marketing initiatives for in-country needs and coordinate it with our marketing teams. • Collaborate internally to ensure that all customer needs are met with speed of responsiveness and high-quality solutions. • Ensure agreed targets are met for in-country clients across all services offered by the company. • Development of local staff capability and managing the requirements of the office locally. Representing our company in-country legally and with high integrity and international standards. • Driving standardization and effectiveness at the country level. • Identify Business Opportunities; identify areas where the business can increase its footprint. • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport, manage relationship and increase client base. • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales. • Develop Proposals and Presentations - make presentations to company executives and management teams to highlight business opportunities and to present new opportunities for business growth and enhanced operations. • Be responsible for managing all operations within a country. This involves taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash and quality targets. • Developing goals for the team and business growth and ensuring they are met. • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least 10-20 years of business development experience in engaging with Multinational companies especially B-to-B Industrial or B-to-C Food or Nutrition or Healthcare industries. • Ideally with a min of 10-20 years of experience in building relationships and provide strategic direction to help companies grow and profit. • A strong understanding of how a business operates and successful candidates should have a proven track record demonstrating their understanding and business acumen. • Good experience in building Internal and External Relationships – ability to identify opportunities to develop and strengthen relationships to advance the business. • Ability to identify potential partnerships, opportunities to enhance distribution and open up new markets, and methods to enhance efficiency within the organization. • Good Business development / Account management experience. • Strong business acumen and ability to quickly learn about different business environments and cultures by asking the right questions. • Consultative mindset and ability to anticipate client needs. • Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results. • Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal and networking skills. • Self-initiative along with the ability to respond quickly to client needs and requests. • Ability to be an effective team member and, as needed, to handle project leadership responsibility. • Willing and able to adapt to new processes and effectively deal with change. • PC proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. • Possess a recognized Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field. • Fluent in English (both spoken & written) and another additional language (e.g., Chinese) preferred.
