HiredChina Korea Campus Tour | Signing Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Kwangwoon University: Deepening Exchanges, Cultivating Talent Together!

South Korea is home to numerous world-renowned higher education institutions, with its educational strength and research achievements widely acclaimed globally. On May 19, 2025, Mr. Yeh Qiting, Chairman and CEO of HiredChina, launched a campus tour across South Korea, engaging in in-depth exchanges with three prestigious universities—Korea University, Kwangwoon University, and Konkuk University, exploring collaborative opportunities to build a broader platform for talent exchange and development between China and South Korea.

Korea University: A Century-Old Academic Leader

Korea University was established in 1905 and is one of South Korea's top-tier, world-class research-intensive comprehensive universities. Originally founded as the private Puseong Special School by Lee Yong-yeop, then Minister of the Imperial Household of the Korean Empire, with the vision of "Education for National Salvation," it became the first higher education institution in Korea funded by private capital.

As one of Korea's most prestigious institutions, Korea University ranked 74th in the 2025 QS World University Rankings, with leading programs in business administration, law, and media studies both nationally and internationally. The university boasts advanced teaching facilities, abundant academic resources, and outstanding research accomplishments, particularly strong in humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, with deep academic foundations and broad research influence.

Konkuk University: A Jewel in Seoul, a Model of Comprehensive Excellence

Konkuk University was founded in 1931, originally as the Central Social Sanatorium, later reorganized into the Korean Political Academy by independence activist Yoo Seok-chang in 1946, and renamed Konkuk University in 1959. It is a renowned comprehensive private university located in downtown Seoul, with a beautiful campus surrounded by lush greenery, often hailed as one of the most beautiful schools in Korea.

Konkuk University offers a wide range of disciplines across 19 colleges, including business, law, architecture, and art design, with 68 master’s programs and 58 doctoral programs. Its programs in economics, trade, veterinary medicine, and art design enjoy high reputations both domestically and internationally. The university emphasizes internationalization, maintaining sister relationships with 291 universities across 46 countries, actively promoting student exchange and academic collaboration. It also operates its own affiliated hospital, providing quality medical services for students and staff.

Kwangwoon University: A Gem in Science and Technology, Leading Innovation

Kwangwoon University was founded in 1934 and is located in Guro District, Seoul, South Korea. It is a well-known science and engineering university and a world-class technological institution.

Kwangwoon University is renowned nationwide for its excellence in electronics and computer technology, pioneering the history of electronic engineering research in Korea and nurturing the country’s first department of robotics. Its engineering programs are exceptionally strong, enjoying outstanding academic reputation and significant research achievements in fields related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things. The university provides students with ample practical opportunities and state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, cultivating a large number of highly skilled talents with innovative spirit and hands-on capabilities.

During this visit, HiredChina officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Kwangwoon University. This marks the beginning of in-depth collaboration between the two parties in areas such as international educational exchange, talent cultivation and recruitment, and scientific research. Through this partnership, HiredChina will leverage their professional expertise and resource platforms to bring high-quality educational resources and top-tier talent from Kwangwoon University, while also offering more international exchange opportunities and career development platforms for the university’s faculty and students.

In the future, HiredChina will continue to uphold their mission of "Connecting Global Talent with Opportunities" and establish closer partnerships with more internationally renowned universities.
