Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: - Lead idea generation and outdoor program development that are customized to each client school’s specifications. - Research and develop new areas for educational programs across China. - Help develop new risk assessment documents and implement and maintain their use. - Lead education programs, especially during our busy fall and spring seasons. - Manage communications with the lead teacher of each program on all matters concerning program execution. - Coordinate content used in each program’s written materials. - Conduct research trips and walkthroughs with local partners in various regions of China. - Manage and support the positive dynamics of a multinational team on the road with student groups. - Coordinate the submission of all relevant follow-up documents including budget reports, program notes, inventory use, photo compilations, etc. - Represent and embody the fun, inclusive, and passionate reputation that The Hutong staff are known for. Position Goals: - Provide consistently high quality and innovative educational experiences for international student groups. - Develop a professional network of full time and freelance staff who are excited to be The Hutong Education Program Leaders and are inspired to leave their own imprint on The Hutong community. Job Requirements
- Strong verbal communication skills in English, and confidently able to lead and facilitate outdoor experiential programming. - Passion for providing top-notch customer service. - A love of the outdoors, and a strong interest in Chinese language and culture. - Able and willing to travel, and work with clients to create customized education programs. - Excellent written communications; ability to write and respond to client requests in a proficient and professional manner. - A professional, “clean-cut” appearance and demeanor. - Fluency in spoken and written English. - Proficiency in spoken Mandarin is preferred. - Experience leading student groups on outdoor experiential learning programs are another big plus.
