On the morning of March 10th, the Macau City University (CityU Macau) 2024/2025 Campus Entrepreneurship and Employment Carnival was grandly opened at the Garden Stage of the China-Portuguese Building.

The Carnival was organized by the CityU Wu Zaiquan Entrepreneurship and Employment Centre, co-organized by the CityU Students' Union, Postgraduate Association, and Alumni Association, and sponsored by the Macau Education and Youth Development Bureau. It received strong support from multiple entities, including the Human Resources and Social Security Bureaus of Zhuhai, Foshan, and Jiangmen, the Shenzhen Public Employment Service Center, the Guangzhou Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Service Center, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Center, the ZhuXi Advanced Industry Excellent Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Park, the Foshan Hong Kong and Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, the Huizhou Zhongkai Hong Kong and Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Base, the Zhongshan International Talent Port Service Center, the Shenzhen Enterprise Human Resources Development Promotion Association, Zhuhai Dahengqin Development Co., Ltd., and Zhuguang (Group) Co., Ltd.

This year, over 130 enterprises and institutions from Macau, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hengqin, Guangzhou, Foshan, Jiangmen, Huizhou, Zhongshan, and other cities participated, offering graduates more than 4,000 job vacancies and internship opportunities from both Macau and Mainland China. Various themed lectures and workshops were held during the Carnival to broaden students' career horizons, stimulate innovative thinking, and connect them with practical industry opportunities.

CityU currently has nearly 12,000 students, with over 3,000 prospective graduates this academic year. The university consistently emphasizes and monitors student employment and entrepreneurship trends, actively responding to the Greater Bay Area development initiatives. By constructing an "industry-education-research integration platform involving the government, university, and enterprises," it continuously strives to secure more practical opportunities for students. The university also offers various lectures, training sessions, and competitions to comprehensively enhance students' overall competencies. The Carnival aims to foster multi-party exchanges among current students, fresh graduates, alumni, society, and various enterprises, helping students understand job market dynamics and plan their careers early.

To deepen the diversified interaction between CityU's current students, fresh graduates, alumni, society, and enterprises, build a precise talent supply-demand platform, assist companies in attracting talent, and help students seize the development opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, this Carnival specially invited over 130 renowned enterprises and innovation incubation bases from the Greater Bay Area to exhibit. On the first day of the event, the employment zone released over 4,000 job and internship openings covering popular fields such as hospitality, finance, retail, information technology, and artificial intelligence, attracting a large number of students for inquiries.

The on-site atmosphere was good , with students actively engaging in in-depth exchanges with corporate representatives regarding career development paths, job requirements, and industry prospects. Exhibiting enterprises responded enthusiastically, providing detailed explanations of talent cultivation mechanisms and corporate strategic layouts, and extending invitations to CityU Macau students.
