Job Description
1. Design and teach university-level general physics courses, including University Physics, Newtonian Mechanics, Engineering Mechanics, Electromagnetism (including circuit analysis), Optics, Thermodynamics, and Atomic Physics, while also instructing students in using software to solve related practical problems (e.g., MATLAB, Mathematica, C++, Python)
2. Collaborate with faculty from relevant student majors to design practical teaching modules that integrate general physics with specific disciplinary applications, ensuring course content reflects real-world use cases
3. Develop and implement hands-on physics experiment curricula, collaborating closely with the Physics
4. Laboratory Engineer in the planning and construction of lab facilities
Provide guidance and supervision to students during laboratory sessions, ensuring the proper execution of experiments and reinforcing theoretical concepts
5. Maintain an active research agenda in a relevant discipline and aspire to be a lifelong learner and researcher
6. Contribute to the academic community through research output and scholarly activities
7. Participate in the design and optimization of syllabi, textbooks, and teaching resources
8. Integrate AI-powered educational tools to enhance instruction and align courses with practice-integrated education principles
9. Mentor students in academic, career, and internship planning
10. Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to ensure educational content meets real-world needs
Requirements
1. Master’s degree or higher in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related scientific discipline.
2. Practical experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering is highly preferred.
3. Prior study experience abroad will be an advantage.
4. Passionate about teaching and student development.
5. Capable of delivering courses entirely in English with professional proficiency.
6. Experience with programming languages, numerical simulation, or AI enhanced teaching tools is preferred.
7. Dedicated to continuous improvement in teaching and research.
8. English is required(B2 or above); German is desirable.
